Why Your Kids Will Love The Stellar Museum In Greater Noida! Been There Yet?

When I went to the Strong Museum in Rochester, New York last summer with a mock shoppe, cafe, Sesame street, science setups and all things fun for kids to learn through experience, I always wondered "Wow! When will something like this come to India?" And I am really glad that there were parents who were like-minded and actually put that thought to play. That's when I remembered that the Stellar Children's Museum had moved from Gurugram and opened in Greater Noida.

What's The Stellar Children's Museum

What is it?

The Stellar Children’s Museum is an indoor, interactive, play-based museum that emulates children's museums across the world. They realize that kids are extremely curious little beings and it's with this vision that the idea of the Stellar Museum was born. At the Stellar Children’s Museum, they believe that kids learn best when they interact, experiment and follow their own curiosity.

I am a strong believer in learning through exploring. It is one way of guaranteed retention for me and for kids and that's why the Stellar Museum ranks high on my list of things to do with children in Delhi-NCR. At Stellar, let them explore answers to the myriad questions they ask us through the day.

What will the kids enjoy?

With six galleries to explore, the kids are kept super busy. The areas have been divided into the following categories; each with a  number of activities. Each section has activities for multiple age groups.

  • Invent It - explore gravity and magnetism
  • Splash It - play with water
  • Create It - explore visual arts
  • Explore It - safari through a forest
  • Live It - involves role play and problem-solving
  • Build It - fun with creating different things

What my kids loved!

  • Mine loved the water table and painting areas the most. Kids just need an excuse to put their hands in the running water and muck around with some paint. It is a good thing this section comes with plastic bibs to protect their clothes.
  • They also enjoyed the Market and Cafe area.  Playing pretend games of buying stuff and carting things around is always fun for them.
  • My daughters also enjoyed the Pin Screen a lot. They used their hands, faces and body to create impressions on this interactive multi-sensory exhibit. They had a blast making funny faces and body imprints.
  • Their favourite activity was, however, playing on the car racing track. Now which kid doesn't enjoy racing cars? (Adults too, actually!)
