Diwali is the festival of lights, joy and family time. What better time to introduce storytelling to your kids. We, as 21st-century parents, forget about Indian mythology and the importance of it when we are raising our children. We forget the things we can teach to our children through these stories. But during Diwali, we want to bring back memories by sharing with them stories that we grew up listening to, because:

  • It will teach them values like good vs. evil, loyalty, honesty and more.
  • It will explain to our children why we celebrate these festivals.
  • Why Diwali is so important to us.
  • Make them as excited about the festivities around us as we are.

Tune in to this episode and make your kids listen to this story of Diwali. Your kids are going to love it! If you are curious to know why Diwali is also the start of the Hindu New Year, then tune in to this podcast right here!
