What kinds of camps are you holding this summer?
We are offering 4 camps for the 6 to 9 ages, and 4 camps for the 10 to 15 age group. Each age group can choose one, two, three or all of the camps (the more camps signed up for, the more the learning!).
For the younger age (6 to 9), the 4 camps offer a window into 4 diverse areas: Animals and Habitats, Fun with Photography, Code Crackers Junior and Survivalist Junior.
For the older age (10 to 15), the 4 camps are also spread across diverse areas: Carnivalist, Meganimator, Survivalist and Code Crackes.
What will my child experience in the program?
Your child will be doing exciting and engaging projects related to the area of the camp. She/she will first learn how to use the tools, and will then build machines, or make movies, or program games or apps with the help of a fully trained coach.
By the end of the camp, after learning the tools and the concepts, your child will create a real-world working solution to a challenge thrown at them.
The last day of the camp will end with a presentation of the work done, for which you are cordially invited.
What will my child take away at the end of the program?
The Summer of Discovery series of camps intends to encourage curiosity in children, and to encourage them to explore the various areas that in which important research is being done today.
The aim is to engage them and make them have fun, but at the same time give children the opportunity test the waters of new subjects, skills and discoveries about themselves. We believe it helps go forward in their chosen path: an inventor, innovator, leader, entrepreneur, artist or a change-maker.
Apart from the experiences learning, creating and building something new, making new friends and discovering new things about themselves, students are also given the following at the end of the camp: a camp completion certificate, a log book, a book mark and a badge. A DVDs of all the pictures captured during the camp will be sent later on to the parents.
