Tis’ the season to be jolly! Christmas doesn’t feel like Christmas without a tree. SO if you have no had time to head to the market then you need not worry, Pooja Arora of @lessismore.living has created 3 DIY ideas for you that are super easy and will light up your home this festive season. How lovely are thy branches!

Its almost time for Christmas and if for some reason you have not been able to go to the market and get a Christmas tree, don’t be sad. We have DIY Christmas tree ideas that you can do sitting at home and you don’t really need much. Just a little holiday spirit. 

Pooja Arora of @lessismore.living created 3 DIY Christmas Tree activities that you can make at home. You probably have everything you need at home to put it all together. Let the fun begin!

DIY #1 – Paper Christmas Tree

  • Old paper pages
  • Christmas ornaments
  • Cello Tape
  • Wooden stick
  • Fairy Lights

Instructions

  • Tear a page from an old unused book
  • Fold it in half and snip using scissors to make cuts/ruffles till 1/3 of the page
  • Take tape and stick the paper on the wall
  • Continue sticking ruffled sheets of smaller sizes
  • Use smaller sized sheets of papers are you go upwards
  • Trim the paper tree to give it more shape
  • Paint a wooden stick with brown paint
  • Decorate it with fairy lights
  • Using a glue gun paste coloured ornaments

DIY #2 – Paper Doily Trees

  • Pape Doilies
  • White Beads
  • Wooden Stick
  • Glue Gun

Instructions

  • Take medium-sized white paper doilies
  • Fold it in half and then to a cone-shaped triangle
  • Take a stick and attach it to the back using glue
  • Add pretty white beads to the doily
  • Your simple white Xmas tree is ready

DIY #3 – Stick Tree

  • Sticks of different sizes
  • Ornaments
  • Glue Gun
  • String
  • Green Pine Garland
  • Fairy Lights

Instructions

  • Take sticks in different sizes.
  • Make the longest one the centre of the tree
  • Using a glue gun stick the sticks to the centre stick in descending order of size
  • Tie small strings to secure the sticks to the centre stick.
  • Place it on a tabletop
  • Glue a star on the top of the tree
  • Hang some ornaments up
  • Place a Merry Christmas sign near the tree
  • Add some colour – place a green pine garland around it
  • Put a reindeer and other ornaments around the tree
  • Take fairy lights around the tree.
  • Light it up!
