Easy, Non Messy And Functional Valentine’s Day DIY Craft Ideas

Valentine’s day is around the corner and even if you don’t propagate celebrating it as much as the Hallmarks and Archies do, it is nevertheless a perfect time to sit down for some fun craft time with your children. These ideas are all super easy with minimum supplies and the best part, you can hang these up in your children’s room to be remembered long after the day is over!

1.Wall Hanging

Supplies:

  1. Red and pink construction paper
  2. Red and white wool
  3. Red,  pink and white beads
  4. Wooden stick
  5. Glue
  6. Scissors

Instructions :

  • Cut out 20 hearts using a template out of red and pink construction paper.
  • Make 5 sets of 4 hearts(2 red and 2 pink) in each set. Glue red and pink hearts alternately together as shown in the video.
  • Cut 5 equal strings of white wool. Bead in the beads as per your choice.
  • Glue the hearts and the beaded wool together.
  • Take the wooden stick and tie the strings over it keeping a an equal distance between them.
  • Tie red wool around both the ends of the wooden stick to hang you dangler.

2.Photo frame

Supplies:

  1. Ready craft frame (available in craft stores )
  2. Red, white and pink Pompom
  3. Red and white construction paper
  4. Glue
  5. Scissors

Instructions:

  • Cut out hearts of two sizes out of red and pink construction paper and glue the smaller one over the bigger heart.
  • Spread glue all around the craft photo frame.
  • Have your kids stick the pompoms all around the frame ensuring all spaces are covered properly.
  • Once the pompoms are stuck glue the hearts on the upper corner of the frame to finish it.
  • Slide in a picture in the frame and display it around the room.

3. 3D Heart Fridge Magnet

Supplies:

  1. White  and pink construction paper
  2. Red and pink shiny tapes
  3. White pipe cleaner
  4. Magnet
  5. Glue
  6. Scissors

Instructions:

  • On a the construction stick Red and pink shiny tapes as shown in the video.
  • Cut out three hearts out of the shiny tape covered construction paper.
  • Fold the hearts into half and stick the together so as to give a 3d effect.
  • Cut out a bigger heart out of the pink construction paper.
  • Stick a white pipe cleaner at the end of the bigger heart.
  • Glue the 3d heart over the bigger heart so as to give it a firm base.
  • Finally glue a magnet at the back.
